The English writer, painter and art critic John Berger, who died in 2017, was less interested in recognizing a meaning than in opening our eyes and senses for a "different way of seeing" in an extraordinary dialogue. Following Berger's approach, the exhibition This here Song brings together three photographic positions of different generations and with very different backgrounds: the Dutch photographer, film and book maker Ed van der Elsken, the German-American photographer Esther Friedman and the Austrian photographer, author and critic Markus Mittringer. A fictitious meeting of three persons, a remix that seems compelling in its lightness: associative, playful and non-hierarchical.
