Once a month the mumok library presents artists’ books, magazines and art zines.
The programme in this summer semester is dedicated to photography. Under the topic Picture | Language | Moments, four events will present four artists – Niko Havranek, Robin Waart, Sira-Zoé Schmid, and Agnes Prammer – and their highly diverse perspectives and approaches.

Robin Waart lives and works in Amsterdam. In 2018 he took part in an Artist-in-Residence program in Vienna. Terms such as repetition and collection form the artistic reference system of his multimedia projects. In his books, film stills and photographic works, Waart explores the question of how (dis)continuity affects the viewer: What does it mean to look at or do the same thing over and over again?

In the book Thinking in Pictures, for example, Waart collects subtitled film stills that revolve repeatedly around the questions “What do you think?,” “What are you thinking?” and their variations.
