Margarete Pertl, Mischa Skorecz and Mischa Erben have long been artistically involved with seeds and seed heads. Their works are shown in dialogue in the exhibition. They are not merely concerned with depicting the objects, but with their artistic interpretation. By taking them out of their familiar context, the formal and sculptural aspects of the plants are emphasized.

Margareta Pertl comes from botanical painting and shows sculptures of seed capsules made from soapstone. Mischa Skorecz paints with meticulous devotion and attention to detail. She is interested in the history and development of the plant, while Mischa Erben attaches importance to the “naïve” gaze, his photographs are taken free from preconceived inner images. They all emphasize that they do not take a scientific position, but an artistic one.

To be in dialogue means to approach this exciting topic differently, but in a complementary rather than comparative but way.
