Wiener Grant (Viennese Grumpiness) is a group exhibition of the artist collective WIEN ANALOG, which is dedicated to analogue street photography. The exhibition’s approach to the city and its inhabitants can be located somewhere between “Sissi kitsch” and portraits of the notoriously unfriendly Viennese waiters. The photographers of the young analogue collective capture the famous “Wiener Grant” in classic black-and-white photographs on analogue film, sometimes achieving relentlessly honest snapshots. Shot on analogue film and manually enlarged, each print is as unique as the photographers’ diverse perspectives.
